Orion Lending Senior Account Executive Jason Twiford has been named a 2026 NAMB Account Executive of the Year (QM) by the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB).

Twiford is one of five mortgage professionals recognized in the Account Executive of the Year in the QM category as part of the 2026 NAMB Excellence Awards. The awards recognize individuals and companies for excellence and achievement across the mortgage industry.

With nearly three decades of financial experience and more than 25 years as a wholesale account executive, Twiford has built a career defined by exceptional production, long-standing broker relationships and a relentless commitment to getting loans across the finish line.

Twiford joined Orion Lending in December 2018 and has become one of the company’s most accomplished producers. Over the course of his career, he has closed more than $12 billion in mortgage volume, placing him among the top-producing account executives in the industry. He has also been a member of Orion Lending’s President’s Club every year it has been offered.

As a Senior Account Executive, Twiford manages the flow of his pipeline, establishes expectations and timeframes, prioritizes files and works to resolve issues throughout the loan process. His approach centers on keeping transactions moving efficiently from submission through closing while providing brokers with a consistent, knowledgeable point of contact.

That approach is supported by a dedicated operations team that works with Twiford throughout the transaction. Together, they have created a structured process for managing loans from start to finish, using clearly defined priorities and technology to bring greater consistency to what can often be a complex and fast-moving process. Twiford has also continued to expand his network of broker partners, allowing him to grow his team and leverage additional resources while maintaining a highly personalized level of service.

His career path to becoming one of the mortgage industry's top producers is equally distinctive. Twiford grew up in Alaska in a log cabin without heat and put himself through Chapman University before earning his MBA from the University of La Verne. The drive that shaped his early life has remained a defining characteristic throughout his career.

Before joining Orion Lending, Twiford spent years building his reputation in the mortgage industry and was recognized by Washington Mutual as Team Player of the Year in 2006 and Most Driven in 2007, making him the company’s only two-time recipient of those awards.
