Position Summary
The funder’s primary responsibility is to perform all the tasks relating to loan closings after receiving approval to close from Underwriting, including the preparation and release of accurate closing documents. The position requires strong organizational and attention to detail as well as the ability to work effectively with borrowers, attorneys, brokers, and title companies.

Position Summary
Responsibilities for the Sr Underwriter will include performing a variety of mortgage loan
documentation duties on conforming loan packages and complex loans, using comprehensive
knowledge of policies and procedures for loan products. Underwrites mortgage loan applications
and evaluates loans to maximize organizational profit and minimize risk or loss. Rely on extensive
experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Review and analyze loan applicants' credit histories, financial statements, and other
financial information to make quality decisions on loans.
• Work with team members to identify potential solutions/exceptions for denied loan files.
• Interpret and analyze complex tax returns and financial documents.
• Demonstrate ability to comprehend program changes and new program guidelines;
Implement new changes in daily production immediately with minimal error rate.
• Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Maintain knowledge of available loan products
• Stay up to date on the program and investor guidelines.
• Adhere to confidentiality standards as outlined by security policies.
• Mentor Underwriter I’s when required.
• Utilize DU and LP underwriting systems.
• Use a computer to enter, access, and retrieve financial data.
• Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them
over time.
• Actively participate in discussions to help the department run more efficiently.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

• A minimum of two years of mortgage loan underwriting experience
• Extensive knowledge and experience with DU and LP underwriting systems
• DE/LAPP/SAR delegations required.
• Ability to underwrite in a production environment involving minimum quotas.
• Thorough understanding and familiarity with FHA/VA guidelines and a complete knowledge
of loan products
• Ability to maintain quality control standards while maintaining production expectations
defined by the company.
• Ability to exhibit professional verbal and written communication skills via email, mobile
devices, and in person utilizing proper spelling, composition, and grammar.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and work well under pressure with minimal
supervision.

The UAT Specialist role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You must be ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivation, proactiveness and individual accountability to deliver a quality product within specified timelines is a necessity. Responsibility of UAT with Orion Lending requires working knowledge of Mortgage Origination systems. Candidate must be well versed with the fundamentals and methodology of test processes and test execution. Requires a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while being able to work independently.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Read and understand complex Business Requirements and Technical Specifications to create comprehensive testing plans and identify defects.
• Create, execute and record detailed testing records.
• In-depth knowledge of Mortgage Originations systems and processes.
• In depth knowledge and execution of testing fundamentals and methodologies.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize assigned tasks in a fast-paced environmentwhile meeting deadlines.

• Identify and communicate risk, including systems, business, compliance and financial and raise those up to the appropriate parties.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
• Residential mortgage workflow experience
• 2 years of mortgage loan origination systems experience
• 3 years user acceptance testing/quality assurance experience
• Self-started, ability to work independently
• Working knowledge of: SDLC, Azure DevOps (preferred), Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Demonstrated experience of excellent customer service skills
Ensure prompt and efficient service to brokers as liaison between brokers, underwriters, appraisal reviewers, account executives and funders. Manage assigned pipeline to insure timely and efficient action. Ensure that all underwriting requirements/conditions are satisfied prior to printing loan-closing documents from pipeline of approved loans. Coordinate delivery of accurate loan closing documents. Ensure all procedures are applied to pipeline loans being cancelled or denied. Responsible for each assigned applicant from opening through closing.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Effectively lead and develop the Operations Support Services team, providing daily oversight, guidance, and escalation support. Manage hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, productivity, and quality monitoring to ensure consistent service excellence across all functions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to origination team members by addressing questions related to LOS (Loan Origination System) rules, validations, and workflows. Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all system-driven processes.
• Provide compliance support for origination team members to address and resolve disclosure-related compliance issues in accordance with federal, state, investor, and Orion policies. Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Design, produce, and maintain comprehensive reporting from tickets submitted to the Operations Support Team.
• Analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights that inform process improvements, training material updates, and system enhancements.
• Apply knowledge of federal and industry requirements to assess business change implications, analyze sensitive or complex operational issues, and recommend best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Advise on the implementation of new programs or system changes, producing user documentation and process guides to support successful adoption.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with management, business line personnel, and internal teams to ensure alignment and effective communication across departments.
• Collaborate with internal partners to develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations, procedures, and goals.

Position Summary
The Jr. Funder will assist the closing team by performing duties as determined by closing leadership. Jr. Funder will be assigned duties listed below, based on business need.
Assist with Post Closing:
o Checking signed documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper signatures.
o Following up on missing documents and funding conditions after funding.
o Audit closed loan files to ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
o Performs communications and updates every 24 to 48 hours on the files by making detailed notes in the Post closing Notes section in Encompass.
o Performs other duties as assigned by management. (i.e., Agency audits, Clearing post purchase conditions, Trailing docs issues)
o Familiarity with mortgage loan funding, closing, and post-closing procedures is highly beneficial.
• Monitor Funding Inbox requests from Operations
• Wire desk
o Review Funding Worksheet, CPL & E&O to process wire
o Send out wires using multiple warehouse banks
o Supply Funders with the Fed Reference numbers-if needed contact bank to obtain in a
o timely manner
• PCCD Queue-work on newer loans within 5 business days
o Monitor Final CD emails
o Process PCCDs
• Assigns new files/docs back to Funders
• Follow up on any Final Settlement Statement requested the prior day (via email or phone call
• depending on urgency)
• Prioritize work queues effectively while always focusing on meeting and exceeding service levels

• High school or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 1 year’s funding experience in lending
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
